Meet sweet and shy Coco. This sweet boy was dropped off by his previous owner at a high kill shelter.  Stressed and missing his family, Coco developed an upper respiratory infection and stopped eating. He was quickly slated for euthanasia. St. Sophia's pulled him from the shelter, and with a little TLC, Coco quickly recovered! He is now healthy and looking for her forever family!

Coco is an orange tabby estimated to be around 3-years-old. He is a big boy (weighing in at 15lbs), with beautiful amber fur, and a tentative little meow.  Coco is very shy at first, but once he adjusts to a new home, he loves to see what his person is up to. He enjoys sitting near his person's feet and sleeping under things. Once in a while, he even enjoys playing with a nice piece of string!

Because he is on the timid side, Coco would most likely do better in a quiet home with adults and older children. He would do well after an adjustment period with one or two other cats, provided the cats are laid-back and he has some space to take a break.

Coco is neutered, microchipped, negative for FIV/Leuk, treated for all parasites, and fully vaccinated.  His adoption fee is $75. Coraline is a beautiful 3 year old Turkish Angora with the silkiest white fur and the most beautiful green eyes.

Coraline is the mother to Emmaline and Maybelline. She has been a wonderful, attentive mother and loves to snuggle and play with her kittens. Now that her babies are weaned, Coraline is looking for a home of her own where she can be the one who is snuggled and babied!

Cora loves to be pet softly, and to stretch out in absolute comfort in a cozy spot on the couch or in the middle of the floor in a sunspot.

Coraline would do best in a home with either no children, or older children who would understand that, as a princess, this lovely lady would prefer not to be man-handled or roughed up.

Coraline is terrified of dogs and cannot to go a home with them. She would like a nice, quiet home with a woman, as she prefers them over men.

Coraline loves catnip, a good snuggle, good food and a nice routine. If you think you can offer these things, Coraline would love to meet you!

Ginger was found abandoned in a garage with dozens of other cats.  She was obviously someone's pet once, as she is so loving and affectionate.  She is so happy to be in a home again. Ginger is currently pregnant, and due to have her babies any day now. She will not be available for adoption until after her kittens have been weaned

Lily is gentle and sweet. She loves to be petted and scratched and in return she will cuddle with you – either right by your side or on your lap. She is shy, but she's coming around.

Gorda is a beautiful baby girl that is 12 years young. Her owners left her at Animal Control when they could no longer care for her. She is mostly white and has a few adorable brown patches on her head and tail. Gorda gets along with other cats and LOVES canned food and warm laps. She enjoys watching birds and squirrels through the window, and likes to sleep on your lap when you are watching TV. Gorda would do well in a home with other cats and older children.

I am a lovable and friendly girl. I have been looked over for the last year and am looking for a home to call my own. I am 7 years old and love to snuggle, I came from DuPage county shelter and was returned twice due to allergies. I was then slated for euthanasia and rescued by my loving foster family. I would love to be an only cat. I do not mind small dogs. I am ok with older children over the age of 10. I have beautiful green hazel eyes. MJ is a majestic creature with the heart — and paws — of a lion. He is outgoing and affectionate, with a bit of a mischievous side to keep you on your toes. He loves belly rubs and sleeping in the bathroom sink.

MJ is a little bigger than your average cat, which together with his handsome face, white booties, heart-shaped nose and lemon-lime eyes add up to one unforgettable appearance.

This curious, lovable guy would make an excellent companion for a bachelor, although he does well with young children and could make a wonderful pet for the right family. He tolerates being in close quarters with other cats, but is something of a loner when it comes to the feline persuasion.

Daiquiri is a gray and white tabby girl who is approximately a year old. She was surrendered to Chicago animal control with her babies who are all weaned now. She loves belly rubs and toy mice. Now that her babies are ready for homes, she is looking for a new forever home. She loves other cats, small dogs, and children.

Terra is a sweet, gentle girl that loves people. Terra gets along with other cats just fine but she would do well all alone, too.

Terra likes to spend her days someplace pretty calm. She should be in a home without children. She is a typical tortie in that she has a little sass; when she is laying down, she wants to be left alone. Period. Otherwise, she just wants to hang out with you, "help" you with your reading or computer work, and receive an occasional pet for all of her hard work!

Nelson is an adorable 6-year old, black, long-haired boy. He has gigantic blue-green eyes which make you want to give him the world. You can't say no to a face like that! But this sweet boy is quite overweight (and is a picky eater to boot) and needs a family willing to have the patience and will to help him get to a healthy weight. No kibble for this boy! He will need a good diet of grain-free, canned food–chicken seems to be a favorite!

Nelson can be dominating (but not aggressive) to other cats at first but will eventually settle in. He would not be unhappy as on only cat either. He loves to snuggle and to be petted. He also loves to burrow under blankets and fall asleep. He's as snuggly as they come. Please consider adding this adorable little man to your family!

Abby is a sweet and loving front declawed girl around 2 years old. As a young cat, she still has lots of energy and bouts of playfulness, but she really prefers cuddling up with you on the couch. Although not technically a "lap cat", she will happily sit next to you for pets or allow you to hold her while standing so she can snuggle into your neck. Her favorite past-time is rolling around on the ground while purring up a storm!

Abby would prefer to be the "queen bee" of the household (no other pets), but perhaps would tolerate one laid-back, non-dominant cat if she had to. She also would do best in an adult only home as lots of activity, sudden movements and loud noises make her uneasy. Abby can't wait to find a peaceful forever home that will shower her with attention.
